Grants for U.S. citizens

Fulbright Grants to Italy are offered to United States citizens:

College graduates, master or doctoral degree candidates, scholars, (young) professionals and artists.

Fulbright grants to Italy are awarded to teach, carry out a study or research project, serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning and related subjects at Italian universities. Grants are also awarded to assist English language teachers in Italian high schools.

 

Applicants should have sufficient proficiency in written and spoken Italian to carry out their project.

All Fulbright grants include a travel allowance to cover round-trip travel expenses between the United States and Italy. Fulbright grantees are covered by accident and sickness insurance provided by United States Department of State.

The Fulbright US Student Program to Italy is designed to provide opportunities for personal development and international experience, through study and research programs at the post-graduate level in all disciplines. It serves graduating seniors, recent bachelor’s degree graduates, master’s and Ph.D. candidates, young professionals and artists.
