Fulbright Sponsorship
The US-Italy Fulbright Commission agrees to provide sponsorship and to participate in Committees of Honor for national and international not-for-profit initiatives of significant cultural, educational and scientific value which conform to its statutory mission.
General information and eligibility criteria
Fulbright sponsorship does not imply any economic contribution from the US-Italy Fulbright Commission.
Application for Fulbright sponsorship can be made by universities, organizations, associations, committees, institutions and other private entities. In order to be granted Fulbright sponsorship the initiative must:
- be organized and/or partially conducted by Fulbright alumni;
- be of significant cultural, educational and scientific value;
- have a significant impact in the cultural sphere, both nationally and internationally.
Documentation
to be submitted
Applications for Fulbright sponsorship must have the following information:
- Personal details of the person who is promoting the initiative (name, telephone number, email, function in the promotion/organization of the event).
- Place, date and a detailed program of the initiative (including contents and mission).
- Public and private entities involved in the initiative, either as participants, sponsors or in other capacities.
- Communication strategies to be employed to promote and advertise the initiative.
The application must be addressed to the
Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission and must be submitted at least
three months before the event.
