The Fulbright Program in Italy began in 1948.
Since then, more than 8,000 Fulbrighters have crossed the Atlantic in both directions contributing to mutual understanding between Italy and the United States.
The scholarships for which you can apply include Distinguished Chairs, Researchers, Lecturers, Graduate Students, English Teaching Assistants and Senior Specialists. They are in all disciplinary areas. We would like to encourage scholars to come to Italy and to carry out research and lecture on topics of contemporary interest, contemporary arts, science and technology, areas related to entrepeneurship and technology transfer, as well as the traditional field of American studies.
We invite scholars and friends of the Fulbright Program to explore and suggest new forms of collaboration, to promote exchanges between Italian and U.S. students and scholars, and to organize academic and cultural activities.
